1748 Bakehouse

Scrumptious pies. Savory galettes. Slow-fermented sourdough and more. All baked fresh in house.

Prepared from scratch based on what’s in season, our food incorporates locally- and responsibly-sourced ingredients. We’re not just a bakehouse—we also serve up breakfast, lunch, coffee, beer, and wine. And with plenty of vegan and gluten free options, we have something for everyone.

Gather around our table in the heart of Jacksonville’s historic Springfield community.

The People Behind the Food

We’re Allison and Kurt D’Aurizio, a married baker-and-chef duo with over two decades of experience in the restaurant industry. At 1748 Bakehouse, we’re proud to offer fresh, delicious food to our Springfield community in Jacksonville, where our family has lived since 2011.

Allison D’Aurizio

I’ve been fortunate to build a loyal following with my innovative baked goods through former businesses My Grandmother’s Pie and Provision Goods. Ever since my grandmother taught me to bake, I’ve had a passion for testing and perfecting new recipes, infusing baked goods with unique flavors.

Kurt D’Aurizio

As a chef, I’ve been working in restaurants for most of my career and had the privilege to cook at the esteemed James Beard House. As a former Slow Food First Coast chapter leader, I had the honor of serving as a delegate to Terra Madre. I’ve won numerous awards for my work, including two AAA four diamond awards.
